Knowing there are historical precedents for the small watercolor painting I finished today, I made a scan and performed an image search. I wasn’t able to find the particular artwork I had in mind, but I was delighted by the results that came back. They include an undated Japanese painting of two bats, a Tantric painting, and a photo of an ancient ceramic pot from Thailand.
